You Can’t Fight Physics, or Why I Missed the March for Science

Magnetic Field of Dreams

Evermore often

I find myself,

Compelled by magnets,

One, embedded mysteriously,

In the springs of my mattress;

The other,

Steel in my backbone,

Stealing my will,

Drawn by kinetic force

Stuck in bed,

Long past my alarm.
